This course offers a comprehensive and practical approach to bridge the gap between theoretical engineering concepts and real-world manufacturing processes. With a right blend of theory (20%) and experiential understanding (80%), skills such as simple quantification, back of the envelope calculations, quick engineering drawings, use of right tools, classification / taxonomy fundamentals and systems approach to planning and execution will be introduced and strengthened. Students will gain hands-on experience with the basic manufacturing, additive manufacturing (3D Printing), Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM).
